Located in San Bonifacio in the Verona region of Italy, this large-scale public art project was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Pedrollo.
Standing approximately 20 meters high, covering an area of around 200㎡, and weighing about 15 tons, the sculpture is designed as a permanent memorial sculpture and a visually distinctive urban landmark.

As a large outdoor sculpture integrating art, structural engineering, and lighting design, it serves not only as a commemorative installation for the company’s anniversary, but also as a representative illuminated landmark sculpture within the local public space.
The original concept was created by Italian designer Roberto. Our team was responsible for the complete project delivery, covering design development, structural engineering, custom fabrication, international logistics, and overseas on-site installation.
Sculpture Design Concept: Vortice
The sculpture is named “Vortice,” meaning “vortex.” Its design is inspired by the movement of water and rising air currents.
The overall form spirals upward and gradually converges toward a single point. Four groups of rotating structures simulate the movement of water flowing upward with air currents before finally gathering in the same direction.

The sculpture expresses three key ideas:
- Movement: The upward spiral form reflects the dynamic flow of water and air.
- Transformation: The structure gradually narrows as it rises, symbolizing growth, evolution, and continuous development.
- Connection: The four spiral elements converge toward one direction, representing the gathering of energy, values, and shared purpose.
At night, the integrated lighting system highlights the sculptural structure and enhances its visual presence. The interaction between light and form transforms the artwork into a striking illuminated sculpture, creating a recognizable landmark within the urban nightscape.
One-Stop Sculpture Project Service
To realize this complex memorial sculpture, our team provided a complete one-stop sculpture project service, covering every stage from design development to final overseas installation.
1. Design Development and Technical Coordination
After the project was confirmed, we established a multidisciplinary project team covering:
- 3D design
- Structural engineering
- Lighting integration
- Load analysis
- Custom sculpture fabrication
- International project management
During the design development stage, our team worked closely with the Italian designer and the client. Through digital modeling, technical analysis, and multiple rounds of coordination, the original artistic concept was transformed into a practical engineering solution suitable for production, transportation, and installation.

2. Structural Engineering and Load Analysis
Because the sculpture reaches approximately 20 meters in height and features a complex spiral structure, structural stability was a critical consideration.
The engineering team evaluated:
- Internal steel structure
- Load distribution
- Connection points
- Wind load resistance
- Long-term outdoor durability
- Installation accuracy
These technical studies ensured that the large outdoor sculpture could remain safe and stable under long-term outdoor conditions.
3. Modular Design and Precision Manufacturing
To improve international transportation efficiency and simplify on-site assembly, the sculpture adopted a modular manufacturing strategy.
The full sculpture was divided into 45 precision modules. Each component was manufactured according to standardized technical drawings, with strict quality control applied to:
- Dimensions
- Connection interfaces
- Surface finishes
- Structural accuracy
- Lighting integration
- Overall visual consistency
This modular approach ensured fabrication precision while reducing the difficulty of overseas installation.

4. International Logistics Coordination
The sculpture was shipped from our manufacturing base in China to Italy using six containers.
Based on the size, weight, and installation sequence of each module, our team carefully planned:
- Protective packaging
- Container loading
- Transportation sequencing
- Delivery coordination
- On-site unloading requirements
This ensured that all sculpture components arrived safely and could be assembled efficiently on site.

5. Overseas On-Site Installation
A professional installation team with extensive international project experience traveled to Italy to complete the final assembly.
Despite challenges involving site conditions, technical standards, and cross-cultural communication, the team carried out the installation while maintaining strict safety and quality requirements.
The 45 modules were assembled with high precision, ensuring that the completed sculpture accurately reflected the original design concept.

Project Value
The successful completion of this project demonstrates more than the fabrication of a large illuminated sculpture. It reflects the ability to deliver a complex international public art project through coordinated design, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and installation.

The project creates value in several ways:
- Creating a Memorial Landmark: The sculpture commemorates Pedrollo’s 50th anniversary through a permanent artistic symbol.
- Strengthening Corporate Identity: The distinctive spiral form reflects movement, growth, and long-term development.
- Enhancing Urban Nightscape: The integrated lighting system transforms the sculpture into a highly visible nighttime landmark.
- Demonstrating Engineering Capability: The project combines structural analysis, modular manufacturing, and high-precision installation.
- Supporting International Delivery: The complete project was successfully managed from production in China to installation in Italy.
- Increasing Long-Term Public Value: The sculpture serves both as a corporate memorial and as a lasting public art feature within the city.
This 20-meter illuminated memorial sculpture in Italy demonstrates how original design, structural engineering, modular manufacturing, and international installation support can work together to create a durable and memorable urban landmark.
Through our complete one-stop sculpture project service, the artistic concept was successfully transformed into a landmark installation capable of standing the test of time.
